in response to Manicmechanic... I have a 1999 Grand Am SE 4cyl, and my water pump needs to be replaced. I'm a disabled female senior and can not afford to pay $950 to a service center for labor fees. At that price it's more than my monthly income. I can get the new water pump I just can't afford to pay someone a large sum of money to replace it when the car is 13yrs old with almost 200,000 miles on it. It's still reliable with the exception of the pump. Just can't seem to find anyone that is willing to donate their time to replace it.
